"Halliday's 2023 Ratings for 50 Great Red Wines"

"Western Barossa shiraz from the Greenock subregion; matured in new and seasoned
French and American oak. Deep crimson with purple flashes in the glass. Jam-packed
with juicy blood plum and macerated summer berry fruits with hints of licorice, dark
chocolate, fruitcake spices, earth, purple florals, iodine and vanillin oak. There's plenty of
depth to the fruit, pure and true to its Greenock roots, the tannins are fine and sandy
and the finish is awash with spicy, plummy vitality. Super value."

Our Story

We are Fifth generation Barossa grape- growers and were inspired to make a wine that would reflect our Shiraz vineyard on the western slopes of the Barossa Valley.

About Us
  • Shiraz | 2017

"No matter how one judges this: from a complexity to price ratio, or sheerly from the perspective of the wine's intrinsic qualities, this is very good. Full throttle, to be sure yet far from exaggerated, with abundant regional DNA: dried fruitcake spice, blue fruit references, lilac, iodine and smoky barbecued meats.
The finish is remarkably fresh, licked with some sarsaparilla clove and creamy vanilla oak."

"An alluring shiraz that tiptoes an elegant aromatic line of lilac, violet, iodine and sapid blueberry notes, laced with star anise and clove. The palate, too, does not disappoint.

Fine-grained, slinky tannins and saline acidity serve as a confluence to the free-flowing fruit and expanding, more savoury, tones of smoked meats, black olive and liquorice root. Northern Rhone? A wine of a deft hand and fresh fruit picked at the optimal window of opportunity. Bravo!"

"This is astounding value from a boutique producer. The label is fairly new but the owners are fifth-generation Barossa grape growers. Plummy fruit-driven aromas, coupled with subtle spices and smoky oak, the palate deep, rich and full-bodied, with drive and power. (Screwcap)"
