Epsilon Barossa Valley Shiraz 2008

James Halliday 2010 Australian Wine companion.
Rating 94/100.
STAR for value.
Strong Crimson red; a complex bouquet of blackberry mixed with touches of licorice, bitter chocolate and oak, precisely replayed on the medium bodied palate, the finish long and textured.

Tasting Notes as written by Jim McMahon....for the Intertnational business Food and Wine Menu.

Lovely deep purple in colour with inviting pink hues around the edges indicating its youth.   The nose offers overflowing ripe plum and blackberry fruits mixed nicely with oaky spicy notes.    The palate is soft and Judicious with coupious amounts of dark cherry fruits.   The French and American oak adds more complex flavours to the wine.  This full-bodied wine is smooth with silky soft tannins on the finish.
